The floating dock consists of a barge shaped steel hull and a wing section at both sides of the dock.\u00a0 These are supported by primary structures which consist of shell plating.\u00a0 Longitudinal bulkheads, transverse bulkheads and transverse open frames.\u00a0 The vessels hull and main decks have recently been replaced – deck steel thickness is 12mm with 16mm down the centre-line x 2.5m wide.\u00a0 Depth of sides 7.77m, depth overall 10.52m<\/p>\n
Dock vessel max weight – 1000 tons.\u00a0 Designed lift capacity 1000 tons.<\/p>\n
2020-2021 upgrades – Virtually the whole of the original structure has been renewed.\u00a0 Vessel is now nearing the end of a massive upgrade to Royal Australian Navy standards including – New hull, decks and structure, New valves throughout, wiring renewed, pipework all renewed throughout, genset replace with new.<\/p>\n
