This dry dock requires approx 8m water depth
The floating dock consists of a barge shaped steel hull and a wing section at both sides of the dock. These are supported by primary structures which consist of shell plating. Longitudinal bulkheads, transverse bulkheads and transverse open frames. The vessels hull and main decks have recently been replaced – deck steel thickness is 12mm with 16mm down the centre-line x 2.5m wide. Depth of sides 7.77m, depth overall 10.52m
Dock vessel max weight – 1000 tons. Designed lift capacity 1000 tons.
2020-2021 upgrades – Virtually the whole of the original structure has been renewed. Vessel is now nearing the end of a massive upgrade to Royal Australian Navy standards including – New hull, decks and structure, New valves throughout, wiring renewed, pipework all renewed throughout, genset replace with new.
Survey – Australian Maritime Safety Authority Class 2D, certificate in force until 7th May 2025.
