1998, tuna longliner built and designed by Chantier Piriou, Concarneau, France. Steel with aluminium superstructure. All exposed doors aluminium. Gross tonnage – 149T.


Main deck – quarterdeck, messroom, engine room, crew quarters, shower and toilet, CO2 room, working deck, forepeak for storage.
Upper deck – wheelhouse, Captain’s cabin.

Main Engine

Baudouin, model P12M26, 12 cylinders in V arrangement, 450HP. Naturally aspirated. Cooling by heat exchanger. Fire fighting by CO2 system plus fire pump.


Baudouin, IR3N/NMD, reduction 5.3:1.

Prop and Shaft

Baudouin propeller (fixed), 4 blades in brass, dia 1720mm. Oil filled shaft, dia 110mm.

Fish Rooms

2x fishrooms:
Positive hold 0˚C – volume of 55m³, separated in several compartments by a fixed partition and by several knockdown partitions. Refrigerated chiller coils in ceiling. This hold is assisted by chiller and by ice from the ice maker.
Freezer hold -20˚C – 20m³, includes arrangement for bait. Refridge compressor Dorin, 4.5kw.
Insulation thicknesses – 15mm on walls, 18mm on floor, 12mm on ceiling.
The insulation is made by foam injection polyurethane M1 expanded of thickness 15cm for the hold in 0˚C and of 20cm for that in -20˚C.


1500kg/2T per day feeds ice hold.

Hydraulic windlass carries 200mm cable galvanised, 16mm dia.

This vessel was built under the surveillance of Bureau Veritas who have issued load line mark certificate (SNC).


Vessel built under Bureau Veritas survey and is inspected every year by BV Noumea so has a current BV survey and after Marine Marchande (AFMAR) inspectors double check and deliver navigation permit so we can say boat has both survey, the BV coming first, followed by the AFMAR permit.
